Using Photos To Help Little Ones Clean Up

Wouldn't these look better with photo labels for what's inside?
I've been meaning to do this for my children for YEARS. I attempt to keep the multitude of toys organized by using these shoebox-size storage bins from Target. But I've never gotten around to actually labeling them with what's inside. Check out this blog post on how to use photos to label your children's toys. It might mean the difference between your toddler's room being a mess or being spotless!

To spotless! My preschooler might have been more help had her bins been labeled with photos!

Megan thank you sharing this blog post about using photos to label children's toys. It not only helps them to identify their toys, they also learn the value of being organized from an early age!

Very true, Daina! And that's a very good lesson to learn!

I could have used this when my boys were younger. Great idea.

I'm hoping to find the time to implement it, Philip! My kids might be too old by the time I get around to it. ;)

My kids are 13 & 15 and their rooms still look like your before photo! Now it is about filing papers and hanging up their clothes - still a challenge to get done even with filing systems in place and empty hangers staring them in the face!

To be honest, I had a messy room growing up. I think that's the norm for kids... I used to hate cleaning up because then I could never find anything!

What a great idea Megan! My teenagers' rooms are a mess...although now rather than toys, its clothes all over the floor! Maybe I can get creative and find a way to use this somehow...
